OBERFETT sees itself as a space of possibilities rather than a gallery, whose primary goal is all too often simply the sale of artworks. OBERFETT focuses on ideas, concepts, and opportunities for interesting
art in dialogue.
What can art do? Based on this seemingly simple question, Christian and Laurenz Pfaff initially launched an interdisciplinary artspace in 2016 and made an art collection that had grown over decades accessible to the public. The ensuing intensive collaboration with artists, institutions, and the public resulted in a different approach. Oberfett acts as a project developer in the entire field of contemporary art. We work in the content-related, operational, and strategic development and testing of new collaboration formats. And we build bridges between art and all aspects of life.
